Tried to buy a Washer Dryer. Delivery people failed to turn up at the agreed time (twice), the item was damaged when unpacked and there was not enough room on the van to take the old machine I had paid them to take away. Customer support well below the standard I would expect.

I ordered a new washing machine for my mother. The delvery boys refused to fit it as there was a problem (installation had been paid for as an optional extra). She rang me and they were so arrogant they would not talk to me but got back in the lorry and drove off. The new machine was left abandoned in the living room.
I made a mistake by not preparing the area quite right but having been given four different delivery dates I would suggest they also make mistakes.
How very self-righteous?

There was a problem with the delivery company. Despite being told in advance that the appliance was required to be delivered upstairs, the staff resolutely refused to do so, and just left it, fully packaged, at the front door.
That excepted, the service from Boots was excellent.

Delivery was delayed because the appliance had not been sent up to the regional depot. I did not like to be asked if 'that's all right for you', when someone from customer services rang on the day I was expecting delivery to be told it was not going to arrive. Obviously it's 'not all right' when you have had to take a day off work for delivery and have a disconnected cooker in the middle of your kitchen with no idea at that point when you would be able to cook again or when delivery would occur. The service after that point was very good, and delivery happened a week later more or less as planned, although the delivery people did arrive earlier than the allotted time which was a little inconvenient.

Boots kept me in touch with the progress of the order by telephone and contacted the manufacturer on my behalf for a missing fitting. I was so pleased with the experience that I have recommended it to a number of friends.

Excellent - easy to use web site. Competetive price. Quick responce by emails advising item in stock and of delivery time. Contacted the night before by telephone and given 4 hour delivery time slot. Delivered on time and in good condition. Cannot fault the service in any way. Will definitely use again and recommend to others.

The ordering process was simple. The prices were good. The contact from Boots was also good. However, 3 of the articles were delayed. Although initially told 2 weeks delay and articles were ready quicker. Unfortunately, delivery let them down. The fridge / freezer did not arrive when expected. The telephone customer service from the delivery firm was poor. I am waiting to see if there is a satisfactory resolution. The remaining articles are due to be delivered next week. The two items I have received are so far fine. The delivery drivers were very helpful.

The web page states 'delivery up to 7 days'. I ordered on Jan 16 (week 3) and was told by phone that the item has to be ordered from Hotpoint and delivery will be 10-14 days. I accepted. Twice I was told delivery will be towards the end of week 5. I'm now told that confirmed delivery will be on Feb. 12 (week 7) after enquiring twice, by phone and email. Complaint lodged with Boots.

Excellent service with a prompt phonecall giving the delivery date, followed by a phonecall on the evening before delivery giving a 4 hour delivery slot. The only problem was that the delivery men refused to take away the packaging as promised. Phoned the customer service number to report this and was immediately promised a refund of the delivery charge.

My only complaint was that i did not receive an email confirmation once I'd placed the order as promised
However, when i phoned to query this, the service i received was excellent and then everything else fell into place extremely well.
I would definitely recommend the Boots Appliances company to friends - the prices were very good too
